Following a turbulent year of sales for many, Black Friday has given a number of watch retailers the chance to claw back some of the ground lost since the covid quarter.

With shops closed due to a national lockdown in England, WatchPro had previously explained how this year’s event could make for the blackest of Fridays to date.

Retail Intelligence firm Springboard forecasted that this year, UK footfall would be 59% lower than 2019 across all retail destinations on the day of Black Friday, and 58% lower over the three days from Friday to Sunday.

England was forecast to be hardest hit with a decline of 61.7% across all destinations on Black Friday and 60.6% over the weekend.

Despite this, Britain has become increasingly tech savvy this year, it has had to be. From zoom calls to Amazon orders, this shift could point towards more of a successful black Friday for retailers and brands up and down the country.

Here, WatchPro takes a look at a handful of the deals on offer from within the watch market:

Beaverbrooks:

Described as its biggest ever Black Friday sale, Beaverbrooks is hosting 50% off.

A Black Friday sale that run until December 1, it overlaps the traditional Cyber Monday event held on the Monday after the Black Friday weekend.

With diamonds, jewellery, engagement rings among watches as part of the sales, the likes of Gucci, Hamilton, Raymond Weil and Garmin are all available at discounted rates.

Goldsmiths:

Goldsmiths is hosting a 50% off Black Friday event and has promoted so all week.

A whole range of men’s watches, ladies watches and jewellery collections are included in the sale.

The likes of TAG Heuer, Omega, Longines and Chopard are all included in the offer, among a plethora of other brands.

This morning, Goldmsiths’ also offered an extra 10% off, giving consumers an even extra incentive to get spending.

Chisholm Hunter:

As part of its Black Friday offering, Chisholm Hunter is giving customers 20% extra off selected products across a number of ranges already included in special Black Friday Deals.

As well as a huge jewellery offering, watches from Rado, Tissot and Bremont are also included with discounts available up to 60%.

WatchFinder:

Watchfinder & Co. is set to roll out its “biggest sale ever” for this year’s highly anticipated Black Friday event with Rolex and Patek Philippe timepieces available at discounted rates of up to 50%.

For the first time in its 18 year history, Watchfinder’s sale will provide watch lovers with access to over 800 pre-owned luxury watches including Rolex Submariners, Daytonas, GMTs, the Patek Philippe Nautilus and many other sought after pieces.

WatchBox:

Launching on Thursday evening, WatchBox combined the Black Friday and Cyber Monday event.

It presented a curated collection of pre-owned chronographs with savings of up to 40% off.
